- From the Smart Cities stage to the EU Projects Zone, ALRIGH2T will showcase hydrogen innovation for a sustainable future.
From 18 to 20 November 2025, Enlit Europe will gather over 15,000 energy professionals at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (Spain) to explore solutions driving Europe’s clean energy transition. The event unites utilities, industry, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the future of a decarbonised and digitalised energy system, with more than 700 exhibitors and 500 expert speakers across multiple thematic hubs.
This year, ALRIGH2T will be featured in the EU Projects Zone, a dedicated area that highlights EU-funded projects advancing innovation across the energy landscape. It will be showcased at stand 5.F30-S016, where you can discover more about its mission, goals, and cutting-edge innovations.
Joint session: collaborating for smarter, greener urban solutions
On 20 November (11:30-13:00), at Theatre 2 – Hall 5, ALRIGH2T will join the “Smart Cities” session alongside projects Chronicle, WeForming, EV4EU, BilbOPS, and GIANTS, focusing on energy-efficient and sustainable solutions for buildings, transport, and urban environments. The discussion will emphasise how hydrogen technologies contribute to greener cities and mobility systems.
The ALRIGH2T Project will be represented by Dr. María Yáñez, R&D and Innovation Consultant at Zabala Innovation and Project Coordination Support for the project. In addition to ALRIGH2T, she manages and prepares EU projects focused on hydrogen production and utilization, carbon capture and storage, and energy storage battery solutions.
“Participating in ENLIT 2025 is a great chance to showcase the progress of ALRIGH2T, a European project proving that hydrogen can truly work as aviation fuel. For me, it feels like going back to the core of technical discovery, supporting the coordination and management of an extraordinary research team tackling how to make hydrogen refuelling feasible at airports to cut aviation’s carbon footprint. The next two years will be a real test, as we turn bold engineering ideas into a full-scale demonstration of safe and efficient liquid and gaseous hydrogen operations on the ground”, she explained.

During the three-day event, ALRIGH2T will also be present at a joint exhibition stand (5.F30-S016) within the EU Projects Zone. The space will feature a selection of EU-funded initiatives coordinated or supported by Zabala Innovation and other European partners, all working towards a more sustainable and integrated energy and transport system.
Alongside ALRIGH2T, visitors will discover the projects SET-IndEU, ETIPs FORUM, CIRCWIND, AIR4NRG, and pAIramid, each showcasing innovative pathways to accelerate Europe’s green transition:
- SET-IndEU supports the IWG6 Working Group of the SET Plan, fostering cooperation among industry, research, and Member States to enhance electrification, circularity, and efficiency in energy-intensive sectors.
- ETIPs FORUM connects all European Technology & Innovation Platforms (ETIPs) to coordinate R&I priorities and develop joint recommendations on energy and climate.
- CIRCWIND advances circular and low-carbon materials for wind turbines and floating structures, developing high-performance composites and sustainable concrete solutions.
- AIR4NRG designs a compact isothermal compression energy storage system capable of delivering up to ten hours of renewable energy, enhancing flexibility and grid stability.
- pAIramid integrates AI-driven simulations and sustainable composite materials to accelerate the design and certification of aerostructures.
Together, these projects embody Europe’s collaborative approach to energy innovation, digitalisation, and climate neutrality, bridging sectors from aviation and renewable energy to circular manufacturing and smart systems.
Attendees are warmly invited to visit the stand throughout the event to meet the project teams, explore their contributions, and learn more about how European research and innovation are driving the energy transition forward.
