- The European Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Piero Lunghi (EFCH2) Conference 2025 will have representatives from different ALRIGH2T partners, providing an opportunity to showcase the project’s key advancements.
The beautiful island of Capri will become a vibrant hub from 17 to 19 September 2025, hosting the prestigious European Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Piero Lunghi Conference 2025 (EFCH2 2025). Now in its 11th edition, this event is one of the most important international conferences dedicated to hydrogen technologies and fuel cells. The ALRIGH2T project plays a prominent role as a main sponsor, alongside Zabala Innovation, a consortium partner actively supporting the project progress.

EFCH2 Conference: A key platform for hydrogen innovation
From 2020 to 2024, hydrogen has firmly established itself as a fundamental element in the global energy transition, driven by significant investments from both the public and private sectors. Throughout this period, remarkable technological progress has been achieved, with hydrogen increasingly integrated into industrial processes, leading to notable reductions in emissions within sectors traditionally difficult to decarbonise.
Within this framework, the EFCH2 Conference acts as a crucial platform for sharing ideas and innovations, encouraging collaboration between businesses, research organisations, and governmental bodies. Organised by the project partner ATENA , ENEA, ALRIGH2T coordinator, the University of California Irvine, and the University “Parthenope” of Naples, this conference has become a landmark event since its inception in 2005.
This year’s edition will bring together academics, researchers, industry professionals, and representatives from the public sector to exchange knowledge and present research findings spanning all facets of hydrogen technologies, fuel cells, and clean energy. The conference provides a distinctive interdisciplinary forum to explore groundbreaking innovations, emerging trends, and key challenges, while showcasing practical solutions currently being implemented in the sector.
ALRIGH2T and Zabala Innovation: Sponsors of EFCH2
The ALRIGH2T Project proudly enters the EFCH2 2025 as a main sponsor, alongside Zabala Innovation, a European consultancy firm providing innovation and research services, supporting projects in the aviation sector to direct technological advancements.
Zabala Innovation, as project partner in ALRIGH2T, supports project coordination, management, and leads communication and dissemination efforts. Their representatives, together with more project partners, will be present in Capri to showcase the project’s progress, engage in knowledge exchange, and explore new collaboration opportunities with European initiatives, academic institutions, research centres, policymakers, and leading companies at the forefront of fuel cell and hydrogen technology.
